技能发展基金(SDF)

The Skills Development Fund (SDF) was established with the primary objective of encouraging employers to invest in skills upgrading of the workforce. The SDF does this by offering assistance to companies that mount training programmes for employees. Companies that are planning to send their employees for courses conducted at 1939 Art Academy may apply for the Skills Development Fund (SDF) Training Grant prior to the commencement date of the course. Consideration will be given on the individual merits of the application.

The general eligibility criteria are listed as follows:

  • Companies are registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Training is fully sponsored by companies
  • Trainees are employees who are either Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents (PR) of Singapore
  • Trainees have achieved at least 75% attendance and have sat for all examinations if the course leads to certification
  • CDAC Surrogate Employer

    The general eligibility criteria are listed as follows:

  • Applicant must be a Chinese Singapore Citizen or Chinese Permanent Resident
  • Only applicable to SDF approved certifiable courses
  • Applicant must be gainfully employed (with employment benefit, CPF contributions) and must not be sponsored by employer and meet the following criteria:

  • a) Personal monthly gross income not exceeding $1700 or total household gross income not exceeding $2700 or per capita income not exceeding $700; and
    b) Highest educational qualification not exceeding GCE 'O' Level

  • Application form must be enclosed with copies of applicant's NRIC, income certificate and highest education/vocational certificate
